What this is

One life, start to finish, on an endless level crossing. You begin at one year old and finish at ninety. Every hop forward is a little more of your life gone, and every item you pick up is three more years. The track does not know how old you are: lane windows are fixed at gaps a ninety-year-old can still cross. What changes is the body. At 1 you crawl, with a fat hitbox and a real pause after every hop. At 8 you chain two. At 16, holding forward is a three-row dash you cannot stop. From 61 the hop lands short of the tile, a row costs two presses, and your input arrives a beat late. So growing up is how you win and how you die. Early on you want the items — being 8 beats being 1. Past the middle of life every extra year is a loss, but the clock only stops if you stop moving, and stopping means dying young. A train ends it early, and that age is your score. Reaching ninety is the end of a life. Best age persists in localStorage. Arrows or WASD to hop, space too. Touch: tap hops, swipe sidesteps. R is a new life, M mutes, H hides the UI. Every mesh, texture, and sound is generated at runtime — steam loco, tender, and three freight cars included. Three.js. Zero asset downloads.

How it was made

Wanted Crossy Road where the difficulty curve is your own body. The generator is not allowed to lay a lane a ninety-year-old cannot cross, so the game only gets harder because you do.
